SUMMER FUN & Evelyn takes 1st place.

School's officially out for Summer and we had 1 day with nothing going and now we are ready for TBall and Summer camps. The Girls are playing T ball on the same team with all their Girlfriends, should be funny to say the least. Next week they are both going to Cooking camp, and then they are each signed up for one more camp later in the summer (Grace Princesses, Cowboys and Pirates and Evelyn Petshop Pals). We are back at swim on Saturdays. Keeping just the right amount of busy.

Last weekend Evelyn was awarded 1st place at the Shoreline Art Festival (K-3 2D). We are very proud of her and she is loving the art kit she won.

PartyLite is kicking off ONLINE SHOPPING on Tuesday the 6th. We are VERY excited about this. Check it Out!

Happy 4th Birthday to Grace

Wow... I have been a major slacker! Hard to believe I havent posted anything since New Years! Its April 23rd!!! Grace turns 4 today at 6:08pm! This morning we woke up and she came in our bed to snuggle as usual and after a few minutes I whispered "Happy Birthday" to her. She got a big smile and said "Its today? Is today My Birthday?", then we were all up! She had her 4 year wellness the other day and is still very tall and doing very well. She was 42 inches tall and 44 1\2 lbs! We talked some with the Ped about her thumb sucking and how we are going to help her kick the habit.

I have been keeping very busy between these Girls and selling PARTYLITE I am doing well with it and loving it!

Enjoy our newest photo's, taken just this week.

Happy New Year! 2009 .... REALLY?

I hope this finds everyone enjoying 2009. Is it true that its been 9 years since the whole Y2K worry? 9 years since Steve and I bought and moved into our house, spending New Years Eve home to stay safe and sound, just in case. 8 years since Steve proposed to me, hanging a mini bag from the Christmas tree with a ring tucked inside. 12 years since Steve and I met, 1 night out celebrating Christmas with Friends at McFinsters... me 'picking' him up with some cheesy line. Has it really been 5 years that Evelyn has been in our life.... ? She was due December 24, 2003... I went into labor in the early hours of the 20th and she was born at 2:28am on the 21st of December. The month of December has brought many milestones for Steve and I, many, many memories. This Christmas was just as fun if not more. The Girls are at an incredible age, full of magic and belief, innocence and true surprise. We had a great Christmas and a fabulous New Year. We went to the lake with the Gerbers, Kenny and Sabra. Taking the kids along to play in the snow. They both stayed up until after midnight sledding off the porch. We pray that 2009 is great for all, full of happiness and HEALTH!

Photo's- Evelyn today (Jan 20- Inauguration Day 2009) at the zoo, Grace also Jan 20th, same day Girls at the zoo checking out some ducks, Girls with Kayli & Gary Gerber at the lake... lots of snow.... got snowed in when the pass closed for avalance control, and Evelyn making a snow angel right before her birthday.

Here Evelyn is about 13 hours old. We couldnt miss taking her 1st Sant picture.

This is my favorite. I love the screaming Santa pics.

Here is tonight's photo, Evelyn will be 5 in a month and Grace is 3 1\2 now.

Maui 2008 - Halloween in Lahaina!

Aloha, we spent 10 days on Maui recently and had a fabulous time! We were there for Halloween, which I admit was a hard for Me, I really love doing Halloween at home but this was Fun! Lahaina does a Mardi Gras style celebration for Halloween, they call it the "Mardi Gras of the Pacific". Great costumes and lots of fun. I can't post too many photo's of it as this is our "family" blog... most of the pictures are a little riskay. The Girls dressed up as Tink (Evelyn) and Sleeping Beauty (Grace) we saw a fun parade and trick or treated the stores on Front Street. They had a great time with all the kids in costume. The party began when it got dark and then all the Disney princesses went to Grandma's and Front Street started to look a little like the French Quarters.

The rest of our trip was spent on the beach, at the pool, sipping on yummy drinks, snorkeling, body surfing, boogy boarding, chasing turtles and throwing back shots of tequila (Just the adults of course). The Girls had a great time too! Here are some photos. We traveled with My Mom, Step Dad, Brother, Sister in law, Nephew Tyler and Friend Aaron.. A few other friends were there as well, our trips only overlapped a few days, so I didn't see them much. My Family is great to travel with.

Cousins

I am playing catch up on the blog tonight. In October we took the Kids in for photo's. I really liked how they came out and we had some fun with them too. Here is Tyler (6 months old), Grace (3 1\2 years old) and Evelyn (2 months before her 5th Birthday). The Girls (including this Girl) love Tyler, he is such a sweet Boy...

Off to School for My Girl

Evelyn started pre school (pre K) today, she will go twice a week 3 hours per day. She was pretty adorable about it all and had a great time. She seemed a tad older when I picked her up today, I really dont believe she will be 5 in 3 months.

Next week We pick back up with swim (E graduated to the next level). Busy busy once again.

This was taken the other day on our way to Evelyn's orientation.

Lake Chelan

Today we returned from our family vacation to Lake Chelan. Steve and I both have the entire week off. I cant remember the last time we did that, if ever. We had a great weekend filled with parade, date night, sleep over at Grandmas (kids not us) and then a BBQ with some friends. Monday morning we hit the road over the mountains and through the woods to Lake Chelan. My favorite place in the world. I love it there. I have gone annually for years but we took a little break when the kids were little. I made it back last year with some Girlfriends (camping), I have never camped here but none the less was thrilled to be there. This year we decided rather than going on a trip via plane somewhere we would splurge and go to Lake Chelan just us in the nicest hotel on the lake. It was totally worth every penny. We enjoyed the water and the sun equally! We even tested out the waterslides which I had never even been to before. The Girls braved some tubing (very slow) and had a hard time leaving the pool and the beach. Great time!!! Now we have the rest of the week at home to rest and play!

These are completely out of order but I am way too tired to fix it. Enjoy, we did!

Summer is flying by as usual!

Summer is 1\2 over and we are staying busy busy busy!!! Sunday we took the Girls via. Bus to the Mariners\Cleveland game. The bus was a great way to get there and we had a blast! The weather has been so nice lately, perfect for all these outings!

Yesterday was Our 7th Wedding Anniversary, I do believe it was the best yet. We both ducked out of work early, grabbed an early dinner at Red Hook (gorgeous outside table), then went to Chateau St. Michelle winery for the James Taylor concert. We couldnt have had better weather. It was the perfect day!

1st Summer update

Let's see... Evelyn is Four and a HALF today, Grace is a Bruttus who runs her own show with little regard to rules or request from Her parents. In May we went for an overnight trip to Sol Duc hot springs, we had a great time. Memorial Day Evelyn rode her Quad Racer for the first time, she loves it. Grace road it once last weekend. Mothers & Fathers day were both FABULOUS! Here are a few pictures

My Baby is THREE today! I honestly couldnt tell you where the last 3 years have gone. Grace is trully the Baby, we all baby her. Its probably time to stop all that. She is now potty trained, doing awesome with it. She has been in a BIG Girl bed for months, she is extremely independant... WHEN SHE WANTS TO BE.

She had her 3 year wellness exam today, she was weighing 36 lbs and standing at 38 3\4 inches tall. She is doing all the things a 3 year old should be. After her appointment she went for a Libby Lu makeover, then we met Grandma and the Parkers for lunch. After lunch I braved taking the Girls to see Horton Hears a Who. They have a very late nap today, but thankfully they slept a bit since we had dinner plans and then back here for gifts, cake and ice cream. It was a great day for all of us...

Happy Spring!!! We are very so looking forward to spring around here. We decided to take some family pictures over the weekend to catch on film (or digi card) how much Our Girls are growing. They are growing up so fast. Evelyn 4 and Grace will be 3 next month. Its insane. They really are best friends and have a great time together. I am glad they get along so well, even if it means our house is like one constant play date\ party with those two running around like their heads are cut off screaming with laughter. They do love to act like animals lately (dogs mostly) putting leashes on one another and Dogs DO NOT WEAR CLOTHING they told me. They both insist on being naked.. Here are the pics. Enjoy!

FALL Photo Session 2007

Grace is 2 and a half and lets face it, Mom was just trying to get something for a Christmas card. So the Girls and I loaded up the camera, burrowed a tripod and made our way to the park with the most leaves! Luckily we have a ton to choose from around here. Unfortunately Dad was working, but we did get some lovely pics either way.

Our first BIG Family vacation.

We just recently got back from California. We had a blast and did not want to come home. Unfortunately the San Diego fires gave us no other choice. My Mom, the Girls and I flew into Anaheim on Monday Oct 15th, where we enjoyed Disneyland for 4 incredible days. We all had a great time dining with the characters, going on rides, walking, walking and more walking. Oh and don't forget about the shopping! You know with Grandma there, we did some shopping. The Girls were spoiled rotton. Grandpa and Grandma Furuya sent them with cash to spend, Grandpa and Grandma Charles the same, and having Grandma Gerk there with her credit card they did some damamge! Friday morning Steve flew in to meet us for our last day at Disney and then we drove down to San Diego for the rest of our trip. Saturday we met Grandma Diane at Seaworld where we watched the Shamu Believe show and LOVED IT. Of course Steve and Evelyn chose seats for us in the "splash zone", and after the first splash Evelyn was ready to move. Afterward we took our Mom's to Dine with Shamu for their Birthdays. It was FUN!!! We had an amazing time watching the 2 younger Orca's show off for us in the underwater viewing area. Saturday night Grandma Gerk flew home, we were sad to see her well but bet she slept good that night. Sunday we got together with Family at Jill & Mike's for an awesome BBQ feast. It was so great to see everyone!!! We did miss Stacie now that she is in CO, but it was great to see Aunt Kimmy, Aunt Joy & Uncle Jeff. They all got to meet Grace for the first time, first even for Auntie Jill and Uncle Mike! Monday, after a short swim in the pool we decided to avoid the beaches because the San Diego fires were blowing ash all over town. We tried to get an earlier flight out of town but couldnt so after meeting Grandma Diane for a bite to eat, we stayed inside at Jill and Mikes until it was time to take off. It really was a wonderful trip!! We can't wait to get back!

September already! Where did the summer go? Seriously, I feel like I just blinked and it was gone. I sort of remember June and July, August was over before it started and now its already September. We didn't have the best weather this summer, but cant complain too much. We had it good compared to the rest of the Nation... Not too hot, not too cold. Pretty mild. The Girls and I did a lot of local activities. We really wanted to get some camping in or some sort of family weekend but really the farthest I got was Lake Chelan with my Girlfriends and we made it to 'the Lake' a few times. We have been to the Zoo and Childrens Museum quite a bit and got a few picnics in. Steve is working hard trying to get our short plat completed. We really miss him!! Its nice having him home but he doesnt stop working until the Girls are in bed most nights. We did go tot he Circus the other night as a family and we had the best time! The Girls loved it, especially Evelyn!

Pictures of the Girls were taken before we left for the Circus and the other is our Girls trip to Chelan. Top Row left to right Carmen, Jenny H., Sabra (Sister in Law), Bottom Row left to right, Susan, Melissa, ME, and Danielle.
